May 4th, 2014 marked the 3rd annual TOUR de HOPE charity ride, benefiting the Hope Center of Kansas City. Over 270 riders participated in either the 62, 35 or 14 mile ride with some taking on the King Of the Mountain challenges. Mather Nature blessed us with amazing weather to make this ride the best one yet.
This year we chose to move the starting location from Johnson County to the Liberty Memorial. This made it possible for all riders to see the headquarters of our signature charity, The Hope Center of Kansas City. This was the site of the first SAG stop, many riders took advantage of the ability to tour the inside of the Hope Center School to see where their donations were being used. Through many different events, including this ride, the Hope Center has been able to fund a variety of programs including their Youth Leadership & Technology program.
We hope that the "Tour" of Kansas City which included Cliff Drive, Swope Park, Firemans Memorial, Martin City, Southwest Boulevard and many many more amazing places throughout the city was as enjoyable to the riders as it was to our TDH board that created the route!
Thank you to all that participated by donating, volunteering or riding in our event. Be sure to mark your calendars for next years ride! Sunday May 3rd, 2015!!
